OVERVIEW

Culicoides Midge bites are quite painful. Often called No-See-Ums because of their small size, these little biting bugs can attack both us and our pets. They can cause the skin to swell and bring a lot of itchy discomfort! Each blood meal lasts 4 to 8 minutes but each Midge will bite repeatedly.
The saliva of Midges contains toxins that make the bite particularly painful, and then itchy. It can also cause strong allergic reactions particularly in dogs and horses.
Our pet will scratch and bite itself vigorously, which will result in skin injuries, hair loss, skin thinning, etc… This condition is called Sweet Itch, or summer Dermatitis because it often happens in the summer. You will mostly see the discomfort between their paws, on their belly, and armpits.

DIRECTIONS

Use one of our anti-fungal liquid soaps first over the entire area, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then dab dry (no need to wash off). Now apply the ointment sparingly across the entire area.
The applied ointment may need to be rubbed in for at least 20 seconds. Use twice a day until area is cleared. Store in fridge for an even better result (and it feels really good!)
Most midges are very active when the sun rises, and when the sun sets. These are periods of maximum insect activity and you and your pet should be protected. You can use our herbal fly or flea spray.
