WHAT DO YOU GET??
MOROCCAN MINT: An extraordinary, every day hospitality, there is nothing that produces so fresh a feeling as the smell of moroccan mint tea in the air! Blended with gunpowder green tea, the peppermint leaves sooth the mind, relax the body, & feed the soul! It is called gunpowder because each leaf is handrolled into a round that resembles gunpowder pellets, just like “pearl” tea that unfurls in the hot water. Traditionally very sweet, try to add some castor or superfine sugar. With the health benefits of green tea, such as incredible antioxidants, Moroccan Mint is a rewarding experience through and through! (The most consumed beverage in northern Africa). Also delicious iced. Ingredients: Gunpowder green tea, peppermint.
OOLONG: With a name that means “black dragon,” this type of tea combines the robust flavors of black teas with the lighter tastes of green teas. Oolong is said to have benefits for heart, brain, bone & dental health (to prevent cavities), & assist with weight loss. This Formosa oolong from Taiwan features a complex and inherent sweetness swirled throughout a warm and inviting golden infusion, the perfect middle ground.
IRISH BREAKFAST: Try it with milk & sugar; it may just become your favorite morning beverage! Ingredients: A full-bodied blend of black teas.
EARL GREY SUPREME: It’s hard to imagine a more popular tea than Earl Grey! This amazing and visually appealing tea combines the dark full leaves of an Orange Pekoe with the indigo splash of cornflower petals. Beyond the stunning visual display, the sweet and succulent aroma of bergamot mellows the black tea with an invitation of fruitiness. Classic teas are classic for obvious reasons and Earl Grey is no exception! Its flavor is unique, and its popularity everlasting. Ingredients: Black tea, cornflower petals, & natural bergamot flavoring.
JASMINE GREEN TEA: If you haven’t tried Jasmine Tea, you must! This exquisite tea is celebrated for its strong base & superb scenting; this fragrant infusion will fill the room with the succulent aroma of flowers. With a pale green cup and soothing properties, Jasmine tea brings its enticing bouquet to the top of the menu at any social gathering. It is scented in the same artisanal way as Jasmine Pearls tea: Jasmine blooms are picked & mixed or layered with the harvested tea leaves and then removed after days of absorption. Steep this tea with care to enjoy not only its aroma but its soothing flavor.

INFUSION METHODS: Though tea balls and strainers are often used for tea that isn’t pre-bagged, one of the ideal methods of infusing loose leaf teas is using strainers that allow for the tea leaves to completely unfurl and release their flavor.
Some tea enthusiasts dispense with using strainers altogether and drop leaves in the pot directly and then strain the tea when serving into cups (you can use a cup strainer). When employing this method be sure to pour out all tea or remaining liquid will get bitter from over-steeping.
Tea Strength: The strength and flavor of tea is a personal experience.
We aim to provide times and temperatures that reduce the risk of allowing the actual tea leaves (or other delicate herbs in blends) to taste bitter due to too much steep time or to get scorched from too much heat.
If you desire a stronger cup, we suggest using more tea rather than a longer steep time to minimize the potential for a more bitter flavor.
Storage: Teas should be kept in an airtight container away from light and heat. They will be at their freshest within the first 6 months.
IDEAL WATER TEMPERATURE: Water for white and green teas should generally be between 160 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit (not boiling) because the leaves are more sensitive and will burn, dissolving the tannin and making it taste too bitter. Oolong should be brewed between 180 and 200. And black and herbal teas should be brewed between 208 and 212 degrees (boiling).
HOW TO ENJOY: Bring fresh water to a boil. Pour OVER the tea. Do not boil botanicals directly (more on temps on website).
